Cable Management Associates and NewWave Communications to Speak at "Future of Cable Business Services" Conference

Steve Sizemore and Brad Housewright Will Address Issues Affecting Smaller U.S. Operators Targeting $130 Billion Business Services Market

New York (December 3, 2009) – Light Reading, in conjunction with its market research arm, Heavy Reading, today announced that Cable Management Associates’ (CMA) Director of Advanced Services, Steve Sizemore, and NewWave Communications’ Director of Network Services, Brad Housewright, will be among the roster of cable industry executives that have accepted invitations to speak at the Future of Cable Business Conference today in New York City.

Mr. Sizemore and Mr. Housewright will provide the perspective of smaller U.S. cable operators in sessions that will focus on protecting existing cable market share from telcos, as well as debate strategies on how multi-system operators (MSO) can win new business from phone companies.

"I look forward to addressing these issues, which are without question, critical to our industry,” said Steve Sizemore, CMA. “Business services represent a true growth potential for cable operators like CMA, and forums such as this conference are essential to maintaining an open, honest dialogue about our industry's future."

Brad Housewright, NewWave Communications, voiced a similar sentiment. “Covering topics like process, application, and value of cutting-edge technology and infrastructure make these gatherings the ideal platform for colleagues to meet and learn from one another.

He continued, “Furthermore, it is also a very unique, appealing setting in which to hear success stories and share real-world insights with other MSOs and solutions providers on the various technologies being implemented across the marketplace. NewWave and CMA both work with IBBS, a provider of OSS, network management and commercial services, to better understand the current – and future - opportunity and how best to capitalize on the situation.

IBBS works with more than 230 operators and will also be represented at the conference through the attendance of Mike Griffith, the Company’s General Manager and Vice President of Commercial Services.

According to Mike Griffith, “I look forward to joining Brad and Steve and to discussing the new opportunities staring cable operators in the eye. Through the expertise of our Commercial Services Group, IBBS has taken the lead supporting MSO efforts to market, sell and deliver business-grade broadband and related applications to the SMB market. With a focus on business services demand and delivery, Future of Cable Business Services 2009 is an ideal event for IBBS to hear varying viewpoints on the marketplace, and to subsequently use those perspectives to best serve our MSO clients.”
