IBBS Releases BBX 4.5 with Industry Leading VoIP Capabilities

Atlanta, Ga. - October 20, 2008 - Integrated Broadband Services (IBBS), the leading provider of software and services to broadband network operators, announced today the release of BBX 4.5 -- the latest update to its award-winning diagnostics and provisioning software suite.

"Our research identified the need for robust and integrated provisioning and diagnostic software for VoIP service. This release enables our customers to significantly improve their delivery of VoIP services to end subscribers," said IBBS Vice President Products Chris Anderson.

BBX 4.5 includes a range of other enhancements including:

  • New diagnostic features that support faster troubleshooting including tools to remotely assess customer subscriber in-home wiring.
  • Expanded trouble ticket views and reporting for increased operational visibility.
  • New Voice Mean Opinion Scoring (MOS) capabilities to help operators identify quality of service issues.
  • New Quality of Service (QOS) reporting for the condition of customers' CMTS through the aggregation of KPIs and trending.
  • Tools that allow customer service personnel to remotely upgrade end-subscriber firmware versions.

Anderson said, "BBX 4.5 empowers our customers to lead their individual markets through the effective integration of Broadband technologies and the delivery of continual improvements in service levels to their end-customers."

Market research consensus indicates that VoIP adoption rates are in a steep rise as consumers become more comfortable with VoIP offerings. Market analysts at SNL Kagan project a 2008 VoIP residential market growth rate of 34 percent.

Anderson concluded, "Residential consumers facing tighter household budgets are looking to save money on their phone service and they're switching in increasing numbers to cable broadband VoIP. IBBS customers are well positioned to capitalize on this growing market opportunity."
