Our History
IBBS was founded in 2001 by Rob Buckfelder and Michael Ingram, both formerly executives at Prestige Cable. Since that time IBBS has continued to employ many technology professionals from top-tier cable providers, cable equipment, and network management companies. This experience and expertise in the industry gives IBBS the insight into what it takes to compete and win in highly competitive markets. Our continual focus is to enable new revenue-generating services while minimizing the cost of implementation and operation.
2012
Mike Gallagher joined IBBS as CEO. Portuguese version of BBX platform released to support growing customer base in Brazil.
2011
IBBS celebrated a decade of customer success.
2010
IBBS acquired SinglePipe, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP solutions for cable. The companies combine under the IBBS brand to offer a fully integrated voice and data solutions for cable companies seeking to expand their residential and commercial service offerings.
2008
IBBS acquired longtime competitor Parasun Technologies Inc. in 2008, establishing a western regional office in Vancouver, BC. The integration of IBBS and Parasun provided our customers the best in broadband support.
2007
Pamlico Capital acquired a majority stake in IBBS. With the financial backing of Pamlico Capital, IBBS was positioned to make the significant investments needed to support future growth, create new innovations, and lend stability to broadband providers in a constantly changing and challenging industry.
2004
IBBS began supporting its cable operator partners deploying Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) in 2004.
2002
IBBS signed its first customer. Shortly thereafter, in 2003, IBBS extended into the international market space by supporting a cable provider in the Caribbean.
2001
Michael Ingram wrote the code that would become the basis for our proprietary Broadband Explorer (BBX) provisioning and diagnostics software to support cable operators deploying high speed data to their subscriber base.
