IBBS Launches Support for Motorola Canopy – Announces First Three Systems in Oklahoma

Atlanta, GA – May 18, 2006 – Integrated Broadband Services, a leading provider of broadband software and service solutions for the cable industry, announced the expansion of its Integrated Full Service Solution to include fixed wireless broadband systems, including Motorola Canopy. The new full service offering is modeled after the same products and services deployed by IBBS in 400 cable systems world wide and has already been successfully implemented in three fixed wireless systems operated by Story Communications, a cable company in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

“Many cable companies have been operating fixed wireless broadband systems, like Canopy, for several years and others are looking to leverage the many advantages of wireless technologies in their existing broadband deployments,” said Michael Ingram, CTO of IBBS. “BBX is a very flexible platform that enables us to adapt very quickly to the changing needs of our customers and to provide support for emerging transport technologies as they become relevant.”

“We operate three fixed wireless broadband systems and wanted to improve our service levels including the availability of our network and the technical support we offered our customers,” said Dennis Soule, GM of Story Communications. “The engineering team at IBBS wasted little time in improving our networks design, and the IBBS NOC immediately began monitoring and measuring its performance. At the same time, the IBBS Call Center started providing our customers with great tech support. We are very pleased to be working with IBBS.”
