IBBS Announces Real-Time Provisioning Interface with WinCable from GLDS
Atlanta, GA – August 4, 2005 – Integrated BroadBand Services, LLC (IBBS) today announced the completion of the integration of the BroadBand Explorer (BBX) service management, diagnostics, and provisioning platform with Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS) leading PC-based subscriber management and billing system, WinCable®
IBBS has used GLDS’ Service Provisioning Gateway (SPG) to facilitate the integration. Designed to provide advanced service management, the SPG enables activation of advanced services via third-party Service Provisioning Platforms. The SPG passes vital subscriber and service-related data to IBBS, which uses it to configure all elements involved in the delivery of service to the end subscriber. The result is single entry provisioning — directly from the billing system.
The combined solution will allow operators to manage services efficiently, minimize revenue loss, and introduce new services more quickly. The BBX’s ability to increase back-office efficiency and accuracy is further enhanced by leveraging the SPG to ensure end-to-end service activation integrity and eliminating double entry. Designed by cable operators, the BBX suite of products enables operators of all sizes to increase the speed and accuracy of complex back office systems. In doing so, it helps to improve operating efficiencies and subscriber satisfaction levels. Call Centers, Field Technicians, engineering, Network Operators and Management all benefit from the increased visibility provided by the easy to use web-based interface presented by the BBX. The integrated solution is available for immediate installation.
